All Aboard the Pumpkin Train – Sacramento RiverTrain
The Sacramento RiverTrain is a locally owned, family business that is dedicated to preserving the history of the region as well as providing unique opportunities. The rail line stretches out 14 miles from West Sacramento to Woodland over the Fremont Bridge and through the Yolo County Wildlife Refuge.
During the fall, families can enjoy the Pumpkin Train, where the exciting train rides out to the Hunt Family Farms pumpkin patch. While there, families can meet the animals at the Petting Zoo and enjoy all sorts of fun activities, including a bouncy house and games. Parents can enjoy the Harvest Wine and Beer Tasting at Old Town. The entire adventure is a 2.5 hours round trip, perfect for making lots of fall family memories together.

Visit the Pumpkin Farm at Citrus Heights
The Pumpkin Farm offers lots of family fun, including the haunted barn, hayrides, bouncy castle, farm zoo, corn maze, and tower slides along with an 8 car train and go-kart train rides.
With more than 100 tons of pumpkins, you are sure to find the perfect one for carving this year’s prized jack-o-lantern. You can also find other great seasonal items like Indian corn, gourds, corn stalks, straw bales, and mini-pumpkins.
In addition, the farm features food trucks filled with goodies on the weekends, and as always bring your camera to capture all the fall memories the Pumpkin Farm has to offer!

Join in the Fun at the Safe & Super Halloween in Oz at Fairytale Town
Every year Fairytale Town opens for four nights of trick-or-treating fun. Families can follow the Yellow Brick Road, meeting all their favorite characters from the land of Oz while exploring the Haunted Forest and Munchkin Land. Each night, kids can visit 15 treat stations, and join in the costume parade as well as lots of other hands on activities.

Celebrate the Season in Folsom at Palladio’s Fall Festival
Join the fall celebration at the Piazza for Palladio’s Fall Festival. This year’s event features crafts, pumpkin bowling, hayrides, and lots of other fun activities for the whole family to enjoy together!

Head to the zoo with your costume on for some great trick-or-treating fun at Boo at the Zoo! Jump Into Fall at Sky High Sports
Sacramento Sky High Sports is always the perfect activity – in any season, including fall.
